In the context of this retreat we will explore the process of how we open ourselves to God’s presence and enter into a contemplative way of being. We will look at the different experiences we may have on retreat and learn how best to deal with them when there is no one available to guide us. Using the rythmn of life at Nether Springs there will be periods of solitude and reflection but also some teaching, questions, and conversation. You may find it useful to bring a journal to record your own experience and any teaching or shared wisdom which you find helpful. This retreat can be approached as a one off experience but will be especially valuable for anyone who is seeking to regularly build contemplative time into their lives. Come and discover the hermit bit of yourself. Come and nourish your inner life with God.
The time will be led by Simon Airey, Anglican Priest, Companion of the Northumbria Community and experienced retreat guide.
