Join in with the life of the Mother House based on the monastic daily rhythm of prayer, work, study/reflection, solitude and community. An introductory retreat outlining the history, ethos and Novitiate process of the Northumbria Community. An essential retreat for all who want to explore their relationship with the Community.
Anyone interested in learning more about the Northumbria Community is welcome to this retreat, but priority will be given for anyone living in North America, Australia, New Zealand and others in nearby countries as the retreat will be timed accordingly. As a Companion, Novice, Postulant or Friend in Community, we invite you to engage, physically and spiritually, with both soil and soul, in the gardens at Nether Springs. Please be aware that there will be a significant practical element to this weekend.
