This month’s book recommendation has been suggested by a member of the Greater Manchester group, who says;
“I recently re-read ‘The Jesus Way’ by author of ‘The Message’, Eugene Peterson.In it he explores the ways in which we can and cannot authentically follow Jesus.
This is done in a very readable style looking at the stories of people such as Abraham, Moses and Elijah through to Herod, Caiaphas and Josephus.Readable, but very challenging! If you want an example of the “heretical imperative “ in action – this is it, as it seeks to disentangle contemporary Christianity from modern western culture.”
