In March, both at Nether Springs and in our online contexts, we are using two sets of readings each day.
The scripture readings for Morning Prayer will support our reflections on ‘A Celtic Inheritance’ which are taken from the Colman series in Celtic Daily Prayer Book 2. The reflections remind us that our Celtic inheritance in the British Isles is not restricted geographically to Northumbria and Ireland, but extends to Wales, Cornwall and the fringes of Scotland. These scripture readings will also be shown on our website.
Our Evening Prayer will use the readings ‘With Zeal for God’ which are taken from the Eata readings in Celtic Daily Prayer Book 2. These reflections describe the life and work of Columbanus (543-615).
Even though we will be using these readings, please do explore the other sets of readings in our prayer books, which you might find more pertinent to you during the month.
