In November, both at Nether Springs and in our online contexts, we are using two sets of readings each day.

The scripture readings for Morning Prayer will support our reflections on ‘Antony of Egypt’ which are taken from the Eata series in ‘Celtic Daily Prayer’, volume 2. These reflections remind us of community’s roots in the life of Antony, the founder of monasticism. The scripture readings will also be shown on our website.

Our Evening Prayer will use the readings ‘Living the Questions’ taken from the Colman series in ‘Celtic Daily Prayer’, volume 2. These readings help us to explore the ‘Heretical Imperative’, reminding us that only by asking provocative questions of ourselves and others can we hope to grow more deeply in our faith.

Even though we will be using these readings, please do explore the other sets of readings in our prayer books, which you might find more pertinent to you during the month.
