Madonna House was founded by Catherine de Hueck Doherty, the author of 'Poustinia', a book about prayer which has been one of the foundational texts for the Northumbria Community; it is all about drawing apart to a meeting place with God.

A Benedictine monastery in New Mexico, USA with a good website.
5   Link   The Taize Community
Taize is in Burgundy in France, and the community there founded by Brother Roger after the Second World War, bridging the gap between Protestants and Catholics, has had a profound effect on many Christians worldwide, especially through Taize music and worship.
6   Link   Lee Abbey
Lee Abbey is home to a Christian Community that hosts a Conference, Retreat and Holiday Centre, set in a spacious 280 acres of farm and woodland, overlooking the dramatic North Devon coast near Lynton.

The Community is an interdenominational Christian team of around 90 individuals and families brought together from across the globe by God's call to live for and serve Him, developing new skills and broadening their experience.

Newsflash

We've created blogging-spaces for both Roy Searle and Pete Askew.  Pete is blogging about the Mother House.  Roy does a lot of travelling out and about in the Community, and so he's always full of stories and reflection.  And he likes to write!  So we should find these pages fill up nicely...  Remember that the newest items will always appear at the top of the page.

Trevor Miller isn't one for blogging really, but he's got loads of great material to share in the 'Sharing Wisdom' section of the Resources Area.
