Psalm 116:10–11 I believed; therefore I said,  "I am greatly afflicted."  11 And in my dismay I said, "All men are liars."

 Proverbs 22:11,24–25  He who loves a pure heart and whose speech is gracious will have the king for his friend.   24 Do not make friends with a hot-tempered man, do not associate with one easily angered,  25 or you may learn his ways and get yourself ensnared.

Matthew 10:16 I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.
