| All at sea with Roy | ||||
An opportunity to join with Roy Searle sailing around the Hebrides! Here's the details he's sent me: |
||||
| Sail around the Hebrides at a beautiful time of year with the long daylight hours in a superb cruising area. The West Coast of Scotland is one of the best places in the world to sail. The scenery is wonderful (including the whales, seals and birds), the sailing exhilarating and with many sheltered waters, conditions don’t have to be too demanding. Exploring the islands of the Hebrides is fascinating. We would hope to sail around Jura to Colonsay and on to Iona, Mull and the Firth of Lorn and have lots of fun, enjoy good companionship and give those who want an opportunity to learn, a little bit about sailing, or to just sit back and let others do the work. We will share in the Daily offices each day and there will be plenty of opportunity to relax, read, share and enjoy island hopping. We can take up to eight people and no sailing experience is required | ![]() |

Equipment includes: 2 life rafts, EPIRB, rib with outboard, radar, chart plotter, vhf & ssb radio, inmarsat communications, fax, auto pilot, generator, water-maker, bow thruster etc. Outdoor sailing weather gear and bedding is provided at a small cost ( £10) for those who haven’t their own gear and bedding (sleeping bag or duvet). |

| The Skipper, Andrew Thompson, works with OM (Operation Mobilisation). He holds all the appropriate qualifications and has 23 years experience of the sea. His ministry is taking groups like ourselves on sailing adventures. Andrew’s excellent culinary skills will enable us to enjoy all our meals and snacks on board. We only have to wash up after his delicious cooking. | ||||
| The cost is £320 per person, which includes everything except travel to Craobh Haven, which is 15 miles south of Oban (we can probably link up and share transport to the marina). Are You On Board? It would be great to have your company and if you’d like to join us, please
let me know ASAP as places are limited. |
