Here's some pictures of the final celebration in Crazy Horse, Spring Harvest week 3 - and the preparations for that grand finale!

The Community led worship here for weeks 2 & 3 of Spring Harvest 04, with two different teams. Click here to see some pictures from week 2.

One of the great things about Spring Harvest is that we begin as a bunch of strangers, and as we travel the week together, we become community. So, on the last night, we usually try to celebrate that, by building something which we can 'do' together!
Brenda worked with some dancers...
Janet & Jill had a choir singing 4 part harmony in no time at all! And I took an enthusiastic percussion section outside to practise!
"A heartfelt thank-you to everyone from the Northumbria Community... the worship was very special. I feel that I've been on pilgrimage, it was a journey I needed to make. Thank you."
Most of us used improvised instruments - plastic buckets, bottles of dried peas and the like. John had his bodhran though... Moving with flags.
We had one hour to put it all together in the afternoon!
"We can echo your sentiments of it being a privlege to have been a part of the Spring Harvest 'team'. The Community... has had a profound impact on our lives. It has moulded us in our spiritual direction, as well as affecting career and life-style development and change. This year, we were so pleased to be able to give back in some small way... by taking a more active role in worship sessions and helping on the Cloisters stall. We also very much enjoyed the times in the hospitality chalet for chats and Compline! The coming together of the dispersed Community is a very special experience."

This is the actual celebration. The musicians - from their left, Jill, Jeff, Mike, Janet and John
John Richardson reading the notices as only he can - in plainsong. There's Ru, painting as we worship, and Mark dancing Call to Community.
Christ as a light, beautifully danced by some very brave people. Thank you all!
"This is just a note to say what a joy it was to journey with you all last
week at Spring Harvest, and to say thank you to God for sustaining us all
with the grace of our theme. I was so bowled over by the support, the
co-operation, the creative spark and buzz of the team; thank you for being
there and reflecting Christ so clearly."
Paul telling the story of the foot washing Unfortunately we couldn't wash feet, so we had a moving 'hand washing' ceremony.
For that last song, we had lots of friends play with us too Everyone takes up their places...
"I didn't mind being single too much but it was so special feeling I belonged with you all again, and the sense of being alone went when I was so warmly welcomed back amongst you. The body of Christ certainly welcomed me the single, lonely, broken and hurting in with open arms..."
The sense of togetherness and worship gave us all a really special moment - well, quite a few moments actually!
Our finale, My Prayer for You. Colin, Ru and Brenda.
The end result of Ru's hard work, a fantastic picture of all the themes of this year's Spring Harvest. Grace in all its aspects.

"What an awesome encounter with God and the Community. Enriching, enlivening, encouraging. So good to meet and share with folk. Thank you."
Colin Symes, with Laura, Sarah & Rachael
Jeff with Rachael Smith The 'hospitality chalet' is a very important part of Spring Harvest!
"Just a note to say very many thanks for the time, energy, gifts and grace you gave in your leading of the 'reflective' celebration last week: for the freedom and the guidance, for the music and the wisdom, for the worship and your 'vulnerable' leadership."
